| Fire   Fire
types usually have high Attack and good Special. They are not often seen
in advance play due to their weakness to Water, the most common element,
and their mediocre moves and stats.

        Immunities: None   Flamethrower,
        95 power, 99.6% accuracy, 9.8% chance to burn A
good attack. With STAB, it can be a more reliable alternative to Fire
Blast, due to better accuracy and more PP.   Fire
Blast, 120 power, 84.4% accuracy, 29.7% chance to burn More
powerful than Flamethrower, but less reliable. Recommended on Pokémon
with little staying power, such as Magmar.     Fire
        Pokémon    Arcanine
   Good
Speed, high HP and great Attack, but fairly crappy Defense and Special.
Oh, and he's a cute doggy. Arguably the best Fire type.Type: Fire

 Max stats at Level 100
 HP: 383
 Attack: 318
 Defense: 258
 Speed: 288
 Special: 258

 Movesets:
 Reflect/Body Slam/Fire Blast/Hyper Beam
Relflect to boost the pitiful Defense, Body Slam for the chance to
paralyze, Fire Blast for STAB, and Hyper Beam as a finisher.
Alternatively, use Double-Edge instead of Body Slam and/or Dig over
        Hyper Beam.
    Flareon
   Brilliant
Attack and Special, spoilt somewhat by average HP, crappy Defense and
Speed. It's Attack doesn't really mean much when it doesn't get STAB for
any physical moves. Still, it looks cool, and I like it.Type: Fire

 Max stats at Level 100
 HP: 333
 Attack: 358
 Defense: 218
 Speed: 228
 Special: 318

 Movesets:
 Focus Energy/Body Slam/Fire Blast/Hyper Beam
Focus Energy to crank up the critical hits, and Hyper Beam as the
        finisher.

 Reflect/Double-Edge/Flamethrower/Hyper Beam
 More of the same.
    Moltres
   All-round
good stats, particularly Special, but one of the worst moves lists in
        existence.Type: Fire/Flying

 Max stats at Level 100
 HP: 383
 Attack: 298
 Defense: 278
 Speed: 278
 Special: 348

 Movesets:
 Double Team/Rest/Fire Blast/Sky Attack
With maximum evade, the turn used to power up Sky Attack becomes
        inconsequential.

 Double-Edge/Hyper Beam/Fire Blast/Fly
 Devastating all-out offense.
    Ninetales
   Great
Speed and Special and the ability to learn some very useful moves, most
        notably Confuse Ray.Type: Fire

 Max stats at Level 100
 HP: 349
 Attack: 250
 Defense: 248
 Speed: 298
 Special: 298

 Movesets:
 Confuse Ray/Reflect/Body Slam/Fire Blast
Confuse Ray and Reflect give Ninetales some much-needed
        survivability.

 Double Team/Rest/Flamethrower/Dig
 Double Resting variant.
    Charizard
   A
Pokémon very popular amongst newbies, only its Speed stands out. But
hey, it looks awesome in the anime.Type: Fire/Flying

 Max stats at Level 100
 HP: 359
 Attack: 266
 Defense: 254
 Speed: 298
 Special: 268

 Movesets:
 Reflect/Slash/Earthquake/Fire Blast
 My preffered moveset.

 Double Team/Rest/Swords Dance/Swift
Swift Dancer. It's often pointed out that this moveset is too risky for
        Charizard, because it is.

 Double Team/Rest/Counter/Flamethrower
A very odd set, this. It's designed to directly fight the standard Swift
Dancing Mew (Swords Dance/Swift/Earthquake/Softboiled). Double Rest
makes the enemy switch Mew in. Earthquake can't hit Flying types, so
they'll use Swift. Charizard should survive it in time to Counter, and
blam! Dead Mew. Being the only Fying type to learn Counter, Charizard is
the only monster who can use this strategy. But can you get Charizard
set up without it dying? Probably not.
    Magmar
   Good
Attack and Speed, plus the ability to learn Confuse Ray.Type: Fire

 Max stats at Level 100
 HP: 333
 Attack: 288
 Defense: 212
 Speed: 284
 Special: 268

 Movesets:
 Confuse Ray/Body Slam/Fire Blast/Seismic Toss
If Body Slam paralyzes, it could be very annoying when combined with
Confuse Ray. Fire Blast gets STAB. Seismic Toss is really just a filler
        move.

 Confuse Ray/Body Slam/Fire Blast/Psychic
More of the same, but with added Psychic.
    Rapidash
   High
Attack and great Speed. Every other stat is average at best. Also, poor
moves compatability. Rapidash can still be fun to use, although it is
        the worst Fire type.Type: Fire

 Max stats at Level 100
 HP: 333
 Attack: 298
 Defense: 238
 Speed: 308
 Special: 258

 Movesets:
 Reflect/Body Slam/Hyper Beam/Fire Blast
The same as the standard Flareon.

 Agility/Body Slam/Horn Drill/Fire Blast
With the boosted speed from Agility, and the possibility of the enemy
being paralyzed by Body Slam, Horn Drill's effectiveness rises. Fire
Blast is again there for the STAB, and because Rapidash can't learn
        Flamethrower.
