Electric
Introduction: All electric type pokemon have 2X weaknesses to ground type attacks, with Zapdos being the only exception. Zapdos's dual flying type creates a weakness to ice type moves, and causes electric attacks to do normal damage, where as they would do half to a normal electric type. It also creates a weakness to Rock type attacks. All electric type pokemon have resistance to Electric and flying type attacks, again, with Zapdos being the only exception. He no longer has a resistance to electric attack, but has gained resistance to Grass, Bug, and Fighting type moves. Here they are in order of Stats: 1. Zapdos

------------------------------------ - Jolteon HP:333 Jolteon is basically your standard Electric Pokémon. Amazing Speed, very good special, poor defense. Since its attack is no good, you should stay clear of attacking moves. Jolteon has poor defense, so Reflect can be used to make up for this. Thunderbolt is a must as well. As for the other 2 moves they can vary between Double Team, Rest, Thunder Wave, Focus Energy. If we're talking Game Boy now, Thunder Wave and Double Team is best. Suggested Moveset: -Thunderbolt ------------------------------------ HP:323 Ah, the king of speed himself, Electrode. Electrode + Thunder Wave = Very useful. You must have this move on him! This can counter Grep, Tobybro and other terrifying monsters. With Electrode being the quickest you're sure to get the T-Wave in you need to make the opponent, no matter who, slower than you're whole team. Unfortunately Electrode has poor attack and defense. Some people just assume that since Electrode learns Explosion naturally, he should have it. With an Attack rating of 198, he won’t make much use of it. Screech can fix this, but it’s not worth it. Electrode is better as an “annoying” Pokémon. Double Team/Rest suits him well. Thunderbolt should be there too. Suggested Moveset: -Thunderbolt ------------------------------------ - Magneton HP:303 Magneton is one those Electric Pokémon that, statistically, does not resemble an Electric Pokémon. Great Speed? I don’t think so. Poor Defense? I don’t think so. Good Special? Well, that’s one of those things that Magneton keeps. Magneton, like Electrode, can be annoying. In fact, the moveset I’ve just given for Electrode can be used effectively for Magneton. Magneton is more likely to last longer in battle, though, due to its great Special and Defense. 303 HP is no good though. Suggested Moveset: -Double

to the top - Raichu HP:323 One of Pokémon Stadium’s strong points was the possibility of winning a Pikachu with Surf (Which most evolve into Raichu). This gives the Electric Mouse a great deal of versatiliy. Raichu is only weak to Ground moves. Surf just happens to be super effective against Ground, which, obviously, Ground moves tend to come from the most. Accompanied with 2 of the following moves: Thunder Wave/Light Screen/Reflect/Double Team+Rest/Body Slam, Raichu can be very powerful. Body Slam utilises the reasonably good attack, Light Screen makes his special defense good, Reflect increases the defense, Thunder Wave slows them down, Double Team+Rest is just plain annoying. So what do you go for? I suggest the following moves: Suggested Moveset: -Thunderbolt ------------------------------------ - Zapdos HP:383 Zapdos is probably the most used Electric Pokemon there is. That doesn't mean to say that its the best. In my opinion it's the best Legendary Bird, but that's not saying much. However, with Reflect and Light Screen it can put up a very strong wall. Thunderbolt along with Drill Peck can be effective against many types. Suggested moveset: -Thunderbolt ------------------------------------ HP:333 I myself have used an Electabuzz in the past, and he wasn't that bad. Not much to say- OK stats, good move potential, good special. I suggest this moveset: Suggested moveset: -Thunderbolt
